The Fantasy Squash office will update all draw sheets with match times and venues tomorrow which will make everything much clearer.

Draw numbers

The numbers on the side of the draws indicate a position NOT A SEEDING. If you are wondering why you have a 15 next to your name but appear 9th on the seeding’s list it is because everyone seeded between 9 and 16 have been drawn randomly. The same is the case for 3-4, 5-8 and 17-32.

To follow your path through the draw you need to follow the number.
Not the number that you start on but the number you become based on your performances.

For example:
If you are number 1 and play number 32.
If you win then you become number 1 for the next round.
If you lose you become number 32.

If you are number 9 and play number 8.
If you win then you become number 8 for the next round.
If you lose you become number 9.

The schedule is colour coded.
Please follow this carefully to see when all your matches are.
I will add them to the draw sheets tomorrow to make this even clearer.

Marking

If you are defeated in your match then you must mark the next match on that court or organise with someone else for the match to be refereed but the match will be your responsibility.

I have tried to make the schedule as easy for the referees as possible. No one ever has to referee a match that is more than one age group above.

There will be some professional referees at the event. If you are lucky enough to be refereed by them please check that they will be staying on to referee the next match on your court. They may be moving to a different venue after your match in which case you will need to referee the next match on the court.

If anyone has a valid reason why they cannot referee the next match please tell us at the tournament desk before your match so that we can make arrangements for the next match to be refereed.

None valid reasons include.
I need to stretch.
I needed to go for a shower.
I needed to get some food.
My brother/ sister was playing and I needed to watch them.
I don’t know how to referee.

If these are important to you please make sure that you organise another referee for the match.
